| This Kindle eBook describes how to build a toddler bed using easy to follow instructions, with pictures I took while constructing the bed. Also included are dimensioned and scaled plans and a complete material list! This eBook has been specially formatted for the Kindle. I am a professional carpenter by trade. I designed and built a toddler bed for my own son. This set of plans describes the process, so you can sure it is a sturdy design. It is optimized to be cheap, easy to build and to efficiently use standard lumber, like dimensional 2x4s and 4x8 plywood. In addition, the material list specifically chooses materials that can easily fit into a normal car. The entire process is fairly simple including about a dozen cuts, so I am confident that this design could be built by pretty much anybody. You could build the entire thing with just a screw driver and a handsaw. The bed has a footprint of 2'-10" wide by 4'-7.5" long and a maximum height of 2'-4". It's designed to fit a standard crib mattress (the opening will fit a mattress that is 2'-4" wide by 4'-4.5"). |
